These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of Jimnus (“Jimnus,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), including our website, mobile apps, and desktop app (together, the “Service”). Jimnus is a product of Pextran. Please read them carefully.
1. Agreement to these terms
By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. If you use the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you are authorized to accept these Terms on its behalf.
2. What Jimnus provides
Jimnus is an AI assistant that offers conversational chat, image generation, and document tools, powered by third-party AI models. The Service is provided on an “as is” basis and may change, add, or remove features over time.
3. Your account
You need an account to use most features. You agree to provide accurate information, to keep your credentials secure, and to maintain only one account for your own use. You are responsible for all activity that happens under your account. Notify us at support@jimnus.com if you suspect unauthorized use.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any illegal purpose or to create, upload, or share illegal or harmful content.
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code or underlying models of the Service.
- Scrape, harvest, or use automated means to access the Service beyond what we make available, or attempt to circumvent usage limits, quotas, or credit accounting.
- Interfere with, disrupt, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or its systems.
- Misuse the AI, including generating disallowed content. Because Jimnus routes requests to third-party models, you must also comply with the usage policies of Anthropic, OpenAI, and Google (Gemini) when using the Service.
We may investigate and take action, including suspension, for violations of this section.
5. Subscriptions and payment
Jimnus offers a free tier with limited monthly usage and paid subscription tiers with larger allowances. Paid plans are billed through Stripe (and, in the future, Chapa for customers in Ethiopia).
- Paid plans renew automatically at the end of each billing period (monthly or yearly, as selected) until you cancel.
- You can cancel at any time; your plan remains active until the end of the current paid period, after which it does not renew.
- Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable, including for partial periods and unused credits or allowance.
- Prices and plan features may change; we will give notice of material changes to pricing where required.
- If you purchase a subscription through the Apple App Store or Google Play, that purchase is also governed by the app store’s terms, and billing, renewals, and cancellations are handled through your app store account.
6. Content ownership and license
You own the content you submit to the Service (your “Input”), such as your messages, images, and documents. You grant us a limited, worldwide license to host, process, and transmit your Input — including sending it to our AI providers — solely to operate and provide the Service to you.
Subject to these Terms, the output generated for you (“Output”) is yours to use. Because AI models can produce similar responses for different users, Output may not be unique, and you are responsible for how you use it. You are responsible for ensuring your Input and your use of Output comply with applicable law and third-party rights.
7. Termination
You can stop using the Service and delete your account at any time from Profile → Delete account. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms, if required by law, or to protect the Service and its users. On termination, your right to use the Service ends; sections that by their nature should survive (such as content licenses granted to us before termination, disclaimers, and limitation of liability) will survive.
8. Disclaimers
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. AI can make mistakes and may produce inaccurate, incomplete, or offensive content. Do not rely on Jimnus for medical, legal, financial, or other professional advice or for any critical decision. Always verify important information independently. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Jimnus and Pextran will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from or related to your use of the Service. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim or USD 100.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the effective date below and, where appropriate, notify you in the app or by email. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of [Governing Jurisdiction], without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules, and any disputes will be subject to the courts located there, except where applicable law gives you the right to bring a claim elsewhere.
